This painting is a love letter to the Whites Creek Food Forrest Permaculture Foraging Garden and the volunteers who make it so beautiful. This wonderful wild and welcoming food forrest is set on a slope with narrow meandering paths (to not walk on the creature habitats) and multiple entry points creating a space where one can lose a sense of direction and time in the best possible way It is a place for reverie away from the mown and manicured world, while looking forward to the mulberries ripening, picking some rosemary or a grape This painting means to describe something of the poetry of being in this space while appreciating Permaculture ideas around engaging in protracted and thoughtful observation, making do, and sharing.
